2009 will see the return of Ayacon after its 4 year hiatus, this was announced during last years Amecon and was confirmed on the Ayacon website last November. Ayacon should have returned earlier in 2007 but was not scheduled for unknown reasons.

Ayacon 2009 will run this summer between Friday 14th - Sunday 16th August at the University of Warwick Arts Centre near Conventry. Details on guests or confirmed events have not been planned but expect to see Anime Music Video Exhibitions, Artists Alley, Cosplay Masquerade, Dealers' Room, Games Room and Karaoke but you can expect more details to follow when the date of the convention nears.

Registrations have now opened and have 1250 places available which costs £45 per a person but does not include accomodation even though 900 rooms have been made available they can be paid separately after registration. It is expected for that registration will be filled and also very soon, so sign up now to avoid disapointment has been advised by the committee.

Amecon will take a break after 2008 and might return in 2010, Amecon has so far ran for 3 consecutive years since 2006 as in 2007 Amecon had to run in place of the missing Ayacon.
